Reliance Industries has clarified that it has no intention of trademarking “Operation Sindoor,” a phrase that has become deeply embedded in the national consciousness as a symbol of India’s courage and resolve. The company’s subsidiary, Jio Studios, had inadvertently filed the trademark application, which was done by a junior staff member without the necessary authorization. Following public concern, Reliance withdrew the application and emphasized its full support for India’s fight against terrorism.
Pride in Operation Sindoor and Full Support for Armed Forces
Operation Sindoor, launched by India as a retaliation for a Pakistan-sponsored terror attack in Pahalgam, is a significant milestone for India’s armed forces. The operation targeted terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), with the goal of avenging the tragic loss of 26 lives in the Pahalgam attack on April 22. Reliance Industries stated that it holds Operation Sindoor in the highest regard as an achievement of India’s brave armed forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism. The company reiterated its unwavering commitment to the “INDIA FIRST” motto and fully supports the government and the armed forces in their mission.
Operation Sindoor’s Precision Strikes and Government Support
The Indian armed forces carried out a series of precision strikes on nine terror locations across Pakistan and PoK, including regions such as Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Sialkot, Barnala, and Bahawalpur. These sites were known for training terrorists who were involved in infiltrating India, including operatives from Lashkar, Hizbul, and JeM. The Indian government briefed opposition leaders on the success of the operation, revealing that around 100 terrorists were eliminated during the strikes. The government further emphasized that India would not hesitate to take necessary actions if Pakistan continued with any misadventures. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the armed forces for ensuring that only those responsible for the Pahalgam attack were targeted, and that no innocent lives were lost in the process.
In a time of heightened security, the operation stands as a clear demonstration of India’s resolve to defend its sovereignty and counter terrorism, with full national support behind it.
