Bhavnagar/Ahmedabad, 13 September : State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed deep grief over the deaths of 12 devotees from Gujarat travelling in a bus and injuries to many people who lost their lives in a horrific road accident in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The Chief Minister of the state, Bhupendra Patel, has given Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and compensation to the injured. An assistance of Rs 50 thousand has been announced.
12 passengers killed, many injured in the accident
On Wednesday morning, a bus going from Bhavnagar, Gujarat, to Mathura, parked on the side of the Agra-Jaipur highway, was hit from behind by a speeding truck. In which 12 passengers of the bus died and many people were injured. The deceased included Antubhai Laljibhai Gayani, Nandrambhai Mathurbhai Gayani, Lallubhai Dayabhai Gayani, Bharatbhai Bhikhabhai, Laljibhai Manjibhai, Ambaben Jinabhai, Kambuben Papatbhai, and Madhuben Laljibhai Chudasama. All the bodies have been kept in the Bharatpur mortuary. Many people were seriously injured in the accident.
State Congress chief Shakti Singh Gohil expresses condolences
The State President of the Gujarat Congress Committee and MP Shakti Singh Gohil have expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and said that Almighty God may give peace to the souls of the deceased and heal all those injured in the accident. May God give strength to the family of the deceased to bear the sudden loss.
