The spiritual gathering, organized by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, turned vibrant as the episode of Shiv–Parvati Vivah was narrated with devotion and enthusiasm. The आयोजन brought together hundreds of attendees who immersed themselves in devotional fervor and spiritual teachings.
Spiritual Significance of Shiv–Parvati Union
During the discourse, Kathavachak Dr. Sarveshwar elaborated on the deeper spiritual meaning of the Shiv–Parvati marriage. He explained that Goddess Parvati symbolizes the individual soul (jeevatma), while Lord Shiva represents the supreme soul (paramatma). The union of the two signifies the ultimate goal of human life — the merging of the soul with the divine.
He further highlighted the role of Narad as a guru who guided Parvati on her spiritual path. Drawing parallels to modern life, he emphasized that a true spiritual गुरु plays a crucial role in leading an individual toward self-realization and divine connection.
Emphasis on Indian Culture and Cow Protection
The discourse also focused on the importance of indigenous cows in Indian culture. Dr. Sarveshwar underlined that pure native breeds of cows hold immense cultural and spiritual value. Referring to the mythological context of King Himavan performing ‘godaan’ during his daughter’s wedding, he stated that cow donation is considered one of the highest forms of charity in Indian tradition.
The institution’s “Kamdhenu Project” was also highlighted, which is actively working toward the conservation of indigenous cow breeds such as Sahiwal, Tharparkar, and Gir. These conservation efforts are being carried out through gaushalas in several states, including Delhi, Bihar, Punjab, and Maharashtra.
