Noida, Uttar Pradesh, December 20, 2025:
In a significant step towards promoting mental wellness and holistic health among officials, the Noida Authority on Friday organised a meditation camp aimed at strengthening emotional balance and stress management. The initiative was led by Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr Lokesh M and was organised in collaboration with the Art of Living Foundation, associated with Ravi Shankar.
The meditation camp witnessed active participation from senior officials of the Authority, reflecting the administration’s growing focus on mental well-being alongside professional efficiency. Additional Chief Executive Officer Krishna Karunesh, Vandana Tripathi and Satish Pal were among the senior officers who attended the session, which was designed to help participants cope with stress and develop inner calm in an increasingly demanding work environment.

Officials said the programme was organised as part of the Authority’s broader effort to encourage a healthy work culture that prioritises both physical and mental health. With rising work pressure and fast-paced administrative responsibilities, the need for mental resilience and emotional stability has become more relevant than ever, prompting the Authority to take such initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, CEO Dr Lokesh M underlined the growing importance of mental wellness in today’s professional and personal lives. He said meditation should not be seen merely as an optional activity but as an essential practice for maintaining balance and clarity of mind. He emphasised that regular mindfulness practices help improve focus, reduce stress levels and create a more positive and productive environment.

“Meditation is not just a practice; it is a necessity for a balanced life,” the CEO said while interacting with the participants. He added that incorporating mindfulness into daily routines enables individuals to handle challenges more effectively and fosters emotional strength. According to him, such initiatives play a crucial role in holistic development and contribute to better decision-making, workplace harmony and overall well-being.
Following the address, expert instructors from the Art of Living team conducted a detailed practical session for the participants. The session focused on scientifically designed breathing techniques and meditation practices aimed at rejuvenating both the body and the mind. Officials present described the session as insightful and energising, particularly for those dealing with high levels of professional stress.
A key highlight of the workshop was the practice of Bhastrika Pranayama, also known as the Bellows Breath. The instructors explained that this breathing technique is known to energise the body, improve oxygen flow and calm the nervous system. Participants were guided step by step through the process, allowing them to experience its immediate benefits.
The breathing exercises were followed by a guided meditation session, during which participants were taught techniques to quiet the mind and enter a state of deep relaxation. The meditation aimed at helping individuals detach from constant mental activity and experience a sense of inner peace and clarity. Many participants noted that the guided session helped them feel refreshed and mentally relaxed.
Officials said the camp also provided an opportunity for officers from different departments to come together in a non-formal setting, encouraging a sense of unity and shared purpose. The interactive nature of the programme allowed participants to engage freely, ask questions and better understand the importance of mental health practices in daily life.
The Noida Authority stated that such wellness-focused initiatives would continue in the future as part of its commitment to employee well-being. By promoting stress management and mindfulness, the Authority aims to build a more resilient and focused workforce capable of handling administrative challenges effectively.
Senior officials present at the event appreciated the initiative and stressed the need for regular wellness programmes within government institutions. They noted that mental well-being directly impacts productivity, efficiency and public service delivery.
With the successful organisation of the meditation camp, the Noida Authority has reinforced its message that mental health is a priority and that practices like meditation and pranayama can play a meaningful role in enhancing both personal well-being and professional performance.
