Noida, 18 February 2026
The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida Authority) undertook a major operation on 18 February 2026 to remove unauthorized encroachments from roads and public spaces across the city. This initiative aims to ensure smooth traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and better accessibility in key city areas.

According to official sources, the action covered Wards/Circles 1 to 10, with teams clearing unauthorized vendors, street stalls, and illegal structures from multiple locations. The operation focused on Sector-10, Sector-44, Sector-57, Sector-69, Sector-72, Sector-80, Sector-81, Sector-82, Hauzri Complex, Cantt Road, Nayagaon Mandi, Phase-2 Mandi, Gram Bhuda, and a 2 km stretch of the Expressway.
Officials explained that the initiative was prompted by continuous complaints from citizens, RWAs, industrial organizations, and other sources. Unauthorized vendors and street stalls had increasingly obstructed traffic and posed safety risks for pedestrians and vehicles.

The encroachment removal teams emphasized that the operation targeted all major roads and public areas to ensure unobstructed traffic flow. Regular monitoring and removal of encroachments will continue daily to maintain organized streets.
Specifically, action on the 2 km stretch of the Expressway is aimed at minimizing traffic delays on high-speed routes. Clearing congested areas like Nayagaon Mandi, Phase-2 Mandi, and Hauzri Complex will improve daily commuting and market accessibility for citizens.
The authority urged residents to avoid supporting unauthorized vendors and to report any encroachments to ensure timely action. Officials will review complaints regularly and take necessary steps to maintain public spaces.

Noida Authority clarified that encroachment removal is not a one-time activity but a continuous process to maintain safe and organized roads and public areas.
This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing road safety, traffic efficiency, and citizen convenience in Noida. The authority plans to extend similar operations to other city areas to ensure jam-free, orderly streets for all residents.
