In a scathing attack on Friday, December 20, 2024, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused the Congress party of potentially orchestrating harm against National Democratic Alliance (NDA) lawmakers. Dubey alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is the “chief commander of urban Naxals,” fueling controversy amidst heightened political tension.
Speaking to ABP News, Dubey referenced a recent incident involving Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging inappropriate behavior with women MPs, particularly Fanong Koniyak. “The way Rahul Gandhi approached her left her in tears. Is this not shameful? He also pushed senior MP Sarangi, aged 70-72, to the ground and later accused him of pushing him instead,” Dubey said.
The BJP MP did not stop at personal accusations. He compared the recent uproar in the Parliament to the infamous 2001 terrorist attack. “Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi launched an even graver assault on the temple of democracy. Be it in the name of Kashmir, CAA, or Agniveer, Congress intends to fragment the nation, with Rahul Gandhi as the leading figure of this agenda,” Dubey added.
Dismissing Congress’s counterclaims about physical altercations, Dubey remarked, “Can a 70-year-old elder, weighing 56 kg, push a 50-year-old man? Instead of asking about Sarangi’s condition, Rahul Gandhi repeatedly blamed him. This reflects the arrogance of Rahul Gandhi, who still perceives himself as part of a royal family.”
Dubey further escalated the matter by filing an official complaint against Gandhi with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, accusing the Congress leader of intimidation and misconduct. The BJP lawmaker’s statements have sparked fierce debates, with opposition parties dismissing his allegations as baseless.
