NHPC Limited, a leading public-sector hydropower company, has launched a major recruitment drive to fill 118 vacancies across various positions, including Trainee Officer (HR), Trainee Officer (PR), Trainee Officer (Law), and Senior Medical Officer. The application process, which began on December 9, will remain open until December 30, 2024, providing eligible candidates a limited window to apply for these lucrative opportunities.
For the role of Trainee Officer (HR), applicants must hold a postgraduate degree or diploma in HR-related fields with a minimum of 60% marks. Additionally, a valid UGC NET score from either December 2023 or June 2024 is mandatory. Those interested in the Trainee Officer (PR) position require a postgraduate degree or diploma in communication, journalism, or public relations with at least 60% marks, along with a valid UGC NET score. Similarly, the Trainee Officer (Law) position mandates an LLB degree (three years) or an integrated five-year law degree with a minimum of 60% marks and a valid CLAT (PG) 2024 score. For the Senior Medical Officer post, candidates must have an MBBS degree with valid registration and at least two years of post-internship experience.
The age limit for trainee officer positions is capped at 30 years, while the maximum age for senior medical officers is 35 years as of December 30, 2024. Age relaxations apply as per government regulations for SC/ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories.
The selection process for trainee officers involves evaluating academic qualifications and UGC NET/CLAT scores, followed by a group discussion and personal interview to assess leadership, communication, and analytical skills. For senior medical officers, selection is based on MBBS scores and interview performance, with 75% weightage given to the qualifying exam and 25% to the interview.
The pay scale for the positions is competitive, with trainee officers in the E2 grade earning between ₹50,000 and ₹1,60,000 and senior medical officers in the E3 grade earning up to ₹1,80,000. Recruited candidates will be placed across NHPC projects, power stations, offices, and subsidiary ventures within India or internationally.
