Gautam Buddh Nagar | February 09, 2026:
In an effort to encourage farmers to register under the Farmer Registry, the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar today flagged off a fleet of awareness campaign vehicles from the Collectorate premises. These vehicles are tasked with traveling to villages across the district, providing farmers with comprehensive information in simple language about the Farmer Registry and its critical importance for accessing government schemes.

Deputy Agriculture Director Rajiv Kumar explained that the campaign vehicles are equipped with banners and loudspeakers to inform farmers about the necessity of obtaining a Farmer ID. He highlighted that this ID is essential for availing benefits under flagship programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, as well as other central and state government agricultural schemes. The Farmer ID is also becoming a prerequisite for future administrative processes, including agricultural land purchase, sale, and land transfer registrations.
Officials emphasized that the campaign would not only educate farmers about these programs but also encourage them to complete their registrations promptly. Timely registration ensures that farmers can access all entitlements under various schemes without any administrative hurdles. Farmers who delay registration may face difficulties in receiving benefits, making this awareness campaign crucial for protecting farmers’ interests.
The District Magistrate instructed the officials to implement the awareness drive systematically and ensure that maximum coverage is achieved. Authorities were asked to coordinate with local village heads and agricultural officers to reach as many farmers as possible. The vehicles are planned to cover a wide network of villages, offering on-site guidance and addressing queries from farmers regarding the registration process.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by the district administration to strengthen rural development and governance. By promoting Farmer IDs, the administration aims to create a digital database of agricultural beneficiaries, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and timely delivery of benefits. The campaign also emphasizes the role of farmer registration in empowering communities, enhancing agricultural productivity, and facilitating smooth governance of rural welfare schemes.
During the flag-off, the District Magistrate encouraged farmers to participate actively in the registration process. He underscored that government schemes are designed to improve their livelihoods, enhance income security, and provide support in times of agricultural or environmental challenges. Ensuring registration will also allow farmers to participate in other agriculture-related initiatives and receive guidance from district agricultural authorities.
Additional District Magistrate Administration Manglesh Dubey, Additional Agriculture Officer Divyam Yadav, Head Assistant Yatish Sharma, Senior Assistant Prashant Kumar, and Satish Bhati were present at the event. The officials reiterated the importance of reaching remote areas, ensuring that even farmers in distant villages are aware of the benefits of registration.
The campaign also aims to address common misconceptions and doubts regarding the Farmer ID and registration process. By providing accurate, timely, and accessible information, the district administration seeks to promote inclusive participation and safeguard farmers’ rights.
Overall, the campaign reflects the district administration’s commitment to enhancing agricultural governance, digital record-keeping, and direct benefit delivery. By facilitating Farmer ID registration across the district, the administration is creating a foundation for improved service delivery, rural development, and sustainable agricultural growth.
