Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam can expect the provisional answer key to be released soon on the official website, offering them a chance to assess their performance and raise objections if needed. The exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from April 2 to 9, and the answer key will be released on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Answer key and objection process
Along with the provisional answer key, NTA will also publish the candidates’ question papers and their recorded responses. This initiative will enable students to estimate their likely scores ahead of the official result announcement. In case of any discrepancies or suspected errors in the provisional answer key, candidates will have the opportunity to challenge specific questions. To do so, they must submit their objections online and pay a nominal fee for each question they wish to dispute. The complete process for submitting objections, along with deadlines and payment instructions, will be detailed in the official notification expected shortly.
Steps to download the provisional answer key
Candidates can check and download the provisional answer key by visiting the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Once available, they will need to click on the Session 2 answer key link on the homepage. After logging in with their application number and either password or date of birth, they can access the answer key, their question paper, and their recorded responses.
Once the objection window closes, a panel of subject experts appointed by NTA will review all the challenges submitted. If any corrections are warranted, NTA will incorporate them into the final version of the answer key. The final JEE Main 2025 Session 2 result will then be declared based on this revised answer key.
JEE Main serves as the gateway for admission to various undergraduate programs in Engineering, Architecture, and Planning at institutions across India. It also acts as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The timely release of the answer key is a crucial step in ensuring transparency and allowing students to plan their next academic steps accordingly.
