Poonch, 9 September (H.S): Indian Army organised a lecture on ‘Literacy Day’ at Higher Secondary School, Sindhra, Poonch District to emphasize the contribution of education in the progress of the society.
The audience was informed about the various scholarships and initiatives available today for children and youth to study in School and Colleges within J&K and elsewhere in the country.
They were also briefed about free coaching classes available for students to prepare for different entrance examinations and were motivated to utilize these opportunities for ensuring quality education for their children.
The event saw a healthy exchange of ideas and suggestions to improve the standard of literacy in the region. The lecture received an encouraging response and appreciation from the inhabitants of the area.
