India’s Efforts to Open Dialogue

Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai shared that India had reached out to its Pakistani counterpart to explain the compulsions behind the strikes targeting terror infrastructure. Despite these efforts, Pakistan responded with a threat of severe retaliation and launched attacks on Indian civilians and religious sites, leading to 16 civilian deaths.

In response to the escalation, India ’s Armed Forces launched precision strikes targeting six key Pakistani air bases, including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunia.
