Lucknow, 11 Sept : The state relief commissioner’s office said Monday evening that nineteen people were died in rain-related accidents in Uttar Pradesh in the previous 24 hours.

According to the report, four of the deaths were caused by lightning and two by drowning.

Hardoi had four deaths, Barabanki had three, Pratapgarh had two, Kannauj had one, and Amethi, Deoria, Jalaun, Kanpur, Unnao, Sambhal, Rampur, and Muzaffarnagar had one.

Since Sunday, continuous rains have disrupted regular living in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in the state’s central region.
