The Consortium of National Law Universities is all set to conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 tomorrow, December 1, 2024. As thousands of candidates prepare to appear for one of the most anticipated law entrance exams, the Consortium has issued a set of important guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination. Candidates appearing for the test are advised to strictly adhere to the rules and instructions provided to avoid any last-minute hassles.
According to the official notification, candidates are allowed to enter the test centre premises starting from 1:00 PM. It is mandatory for them to be seated at their designated seats in the examination hall or classroom by 1:30 PM at the latest. Entry into the exam hall will be strictly prohibited after 2:15 PM. This is a critical deadline, and any candidate who arrives after the cutoff will not be permitted to appear for the exam.
Once inside the exam hall, candidates will not be allowed to leave before 4:00 PM. The CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled to last for two hours, commencing sharply at 2:00 PM. For PwD (Persons with Disabilities) and SAP (Specially Abled Persons) candidates, the exam duration is extended by 40 minutes, ending at 4:40 PM. Candidates must be mindful of these timings to ensure they complete the test within the allotted time.
To gain entry into the exam hall, candidates must carry their admit cards, which need to be signed by the invigilator. The admit card is an essential document for the admission process, so candidates must keep it safe after the exam. In case a candidate’s photograph is unclear on the admit card, they should bring a self-attested photograph along with the admit card for identification purposes. Furthermore, candidates are required to present a government-issued photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport, for verification at the exam centre.
While entering the test centre, candidates are allowed to bring specific items with them. These include black or blue ballpoint pens, a transparent water bottle, and an analogue watch. It is important to note that no bags or other personal items will be permitted inside the test centre premises. Strict security measures will be in place to ensure that no unauthorized items are brought into the exam hall.
Candidates are urged to carefully review these guidelines and make necessary preparations to ensure a smooth and stress-free exam experience. Following the instructions will help avoid any confusion and allow candidates to focus on performing their best in CLAT 2025.
