One of the most spiritually enriching experiences at the temple is attending the Shayan Aarti, the final ritual of the day, performed before the deity retires for the night. This Aarti is believed to bestow divine grace and spiritual contentment upon devotees.

Importance of Pradosh Vrat and Worship at Kashi Vishwanath

On the Trayodashi Tithi of both the Shukla and Krishna Paksha of every lunar month, Pradosh Vrat is observed in devotion to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Observing this fast and offering prayers on this day is said to bring auspiciousness into one’s life and remove all forms of sorrow and misfortune.

Astrologers and spiritual practitioners often recommend Shiva worship as a remedy for life’s hardships. Lord Shiva is known as a merciful and compassionate deity who showers immense blessings on his devotees. His divine grace is said to open the path to a new and brighter future.

Kashi, also known as the City of Shiva, is guarded by Kal Bhairav, the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. This ancient city has been a center of spiritual energy and reverence for centuries. According to Hindu scriptures, Kashi became Lord Shiva’s eternal abode after he was absolved of Brahmahatya (the sin of killing Lord Brahma) here. Since then, Kashi has remained a powerful spiritual center.

Worship at Kashi Vishwanath Temple

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and is known for fulfilling the wishes of those who worship Mahadev with devotion. Five daily Aartis are performed in the temple, out of which Shayan Aarti is the concluding ritual of the day.

Timing and Entry for Shayan Aarti

Shayan Aarti is performed every night from 10:30 PM to 11:00 PM, approximately one and a half hours before midnight. Devotees are required to pay an entry fee of ₹300 to participate in the Aarti. Children up to the age of 12 are allowed free entry.

Spiritual Significance of Shayan Aarti

Participating in Shayan Aarti is considered deeply auspicious. It is believed that this ritual brings peace, removes obstacles, and enhances prosperity under the divine protection of Lord Shiva. The serene atmosphere of the temple during the Aarti attracts a large number of devotees who seek to end their day in the presence of divine energy and spiritual fulfillment.
