To reinforce industrial peace and maintain a harmonious working environment, a significant meeting was held at the Noida Development Authority auditorium in Sector-06, bringing together officials from the authority, district administration, police, and factory management representatives. The meeting emphasized coordinated efforts to ensure worker welfare and uninterrupted industrial operations.
The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer Krishna Karunesh, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, and District Magistrate Medha Roopam, along with other senior officials. Government Reaffirms Commitment to Workers and Industry
Addressing the meeting virtually, Principal Secretary (Labour) M K S Sundaram and Labour Commissioner Markandey Shahi emphasized that the Uttar Pradesh government is fully committed to safeguarding the interests of both workers and entrepreneurs. They reiterated that ensuring industrial peace and worker welfare remains a top priority.
They highlighted key provisions under the new labour codes, including guaranteed minimum wages, timely and full payment of salaries, equal pay for equal work, and double payment for overtime. Other important provisions include regulation of working hours, prevention of exploitation, and extension of social security benefits such as EPF and ESI.
The officials also pointed out that benefits like gratuity, job security, legal compensation in case of layoffs, notice period or notice pay, safe working conditions, and weekly holidays are being strictly ensured. Special provisions for women workers and inclusion of unorganized and gig workers under social security frameworks were also emphasized.
Strict Instructions for Compliance and Transparency
The administration directed all industrial units to strictly follow government guidelines and ensure transparency in their implementation. Employers were instructed to display all guidelines prominently on notice boards to eliminate confusion among workers.
It was also emphasized that workers willing to work should not face any inconvenience, and management must maintain continuous dialogue with employees to address concerns effectively. Officials stressed the importance of resolving issues at an early stage to prevent escalation.
To enhance worker welfare and safety, instructions were issued to keep CCTV cameras operational at factory entry points and ensure a secure working environment. Regular inspections by concerned departments have also been mandated to monitor compliance.

Police Ensures Law and Order in Industrial Areas
Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh stated that maintaining law and order in industrial areas is a priority. She emphasized that strict vigilance is being maintained and warned that any attempts to spread misinformation or create unrest will be dealt with firmly.
Authorities urged all stakeholders to cooperate in maintaining discipline and stability, ensuring that industrial activities continue without disruption.
Control Room and Grievance Redressal Mechanism
The District Magistrate informed that a dedicated control room has been established to address worker grievances and maintain peace in the district. Workers and industrial units can report issues through helpline numbers: 1202978231, 1202978232, 1202978862, and 1202978702.
This initiative is aimed at providing immediate assistance and ensuring timely resolution of complaints. Officials reiterated that prompt communication will help in preventing misunderstandings and maintaining a stable environment.
Appeal for Discipline and Responsible Conduct
The District Magistrate appealed to all workers to maintain discipline, peace, and a cooperative approach at workplaces. Workers were advised to avoid rumors and rely only on verified and official information.
The administration assured that it will continue to function in a fair, transparent, and sensitive manner, ensuring that the interests of both workers and employers are protected. Continuous dialogue and proactive governance are expected to play a key role in sustaining industrial harmony in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
