Greater Noida, 23 February 2026

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Monday inaugurated the city’s first Labour Facilitation Centre in Sector Ecotech-3, marking a significant step toward strengthening coordination between industries and skilled workers. The facility was formally inaugurated by Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar in the presence of GNIDA Additional Chief Executive Officer Sumit Yadav and Industrial Business Association President Amit Upadhyay.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration ceremony, Nagar highlighted the importance of skilled labour for industrial growth and the need for accessible employment platforms for workers. He stated that the Labour Facilitation Centre would serve as a bridge between industries seeking trained manpower and workers searching for job opportunities.

“Industries require skilled artisans to operate efficiently, while workers need stable employment,” Nagar said. “This centre has been designed to meet both requirements by creating a structured and transparent system.”

The Labour Facilitation Centre has been developed under the directions of GNIDA Chief Executive Officer N.G. Ravi Kumar, with construction undertaken by the Project Department’s Work Circle-3. The facility is located near the water tank at Udyog Kendra-II in Sector Ecotech-3.

Officials stated that the centre was constructed at an approximate cost of ₹10 lakh, with the project completed in about four months. The facility includes designated seating rooms for skilled workers, separate sanitation facilities, and a kitchen area. Both male and female workers will be able to utilise the centre.

As part of its operational framework, the centre will maintain two registers. One register will record the details of workers, including names and contact information, while the second register will capture industry requirements, specifying the nature of work and the number of workers needed. This system is intended to facilitate efficient matching between labour demand and availability.

GNIDA has handed over operational responsibility of the facility to the Industrial Business Association. The association will oversee day-to-day management and ensure that workers are informed about the centre’s services.

Nagar expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating that it would benefit both industrial units and workers. He also indicated that if the pilot project proves successful, similar centres may be established in other industrial sectors of Greater Noida.

On the occasion, workers present at the event were presented with shawls and sweets. Several GNIDA officials attended the programme, including Senior Manager Prabhat Shankar, Manager Prashant Samadhiya, and other departmental representatives.

Officials described the Labour Facilitation Centre as part of GNIDA’s broader efforts to enhance industrial infrastructure and improve workforce accessibility across the region.
