Greater Noida Authority carried out a major anti-encroachment operation in the notified area of Nanwa Ka Rajpur and demolished illegal constructions spread across nearly 20,000 square meters of land. According to officials, the estimated value of the encroachment-free land is around ₹40 crore. The action was taken as part of the authority’s ongoing campaign against illegal colonies, unauthorized construction, and unlawful land occupation in Greater Noida.
The demolition drive was conducted under the directions of CEO NG Ravi Kumar by a joint team of the land records and project departments. Officials stated that illegal colonizers were attempting unauthorized plotting and construction activities on Khasra Number 156 and nearby land in Nanwa Ka Rajpur without obtaining approval from the authority.

According to the authority, complaints had been received regarding illegal plotting and encroachment activities in the notified area for a long time. Following verification and land assessment, the administration decided to take strict action against the encroachers. On Saturday, teams from the authority reached the site along with security personnel and initiated the demolition drive using bulldozers and heavy machinery.
During the operation, unauthorized structures, temporary constructions, and illegal plotting-related developments were demolished systematically. Officials confirmed that the anti-encroachment campaign continued for nearly two hours. Strict security arrangements were maintained throughout the operation to prevent any disturbance or resistance during the demolition process.
The authority stated that illegal occupation of notified land not only violates development regulations but also affects planned urban growth. Greater Noida has been witnessing rapid infrastructure expansion and urbanization, making land management and regulated development increasingly important. Officials believe that timely action against illegal colonies and encroachments is essential to maintain the city’s master planning framework.
Additional CEO Sumit Yadav issued a strict warning against unauthorized construction in notified areas. He stated that any construction carried out without official approval or without a sanctioned building map would be treated as illegal and strict action would continue against violators.
He also appealed to the public to verify land ownership and legal status before purchasing any plot or property in Greater Noida. According to officials, many illegal colonizers attempt to mislead buyers by selling plots in unauthorized colonies without proper approval from the authority. Such transactions often result in financial losses and legal complications for innocent buyers.
The authority advised residents and potential investors to contact the land records department before making any land purchase in the city. Officials emphasized that proper verification can help citizens avoid becoming victims of fraudulent property dealings.

General Manager AK Singh stated that complaints regarding illegal encroachment and unauthorized plotting in Nanwa Ka Rajpur were taken seriously by the administration. During the investigation, it was found that certain individuals were attempting to occupy authority land through illegal construction activities. Following due process, the authority proceeded with demolition action to clear the encroached area.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted under the leadership of OSD Land Records Ramnayan Singh along with Senior Manager Nagendra Singh and other officials. The authority’s security personnel were also present throughout the operation.
Officials warned that any attempt to reconstruct illegal structures on the cleared land would invite strict legal action. Authorities have stated that continuous monitoring of notified areas will be carried out to prevent re-encroachment and illegal plotting in the future.
Greater Noida Authority has been actively conducting anti-encroachment drives across various sectors and villages as part of its efforts to ensure planned urban development. With land prices rising rapidly due to expanding infrastructure and increasing real estate demand, cases of illegal colonies and unauthorized land occupation have also increased in some areas.
Urban development experts believe that unauthorized construction creates long-term challenges for civic planning, road connectivity, drainage systems, and public infrastructure. Illegal colonies often lack proper roads, water supply, sewer systems, and safety measures, which eventually affects residents and city administration alike.
The latest demolition drive in Nanwa Ka Rajpur is being viewed as a strong message from the Greater Noida Authority against illegal land occupation and unauthorized development. Officials have made it clear that the administration will continue strict enforcement actions to protect notified land and maintain planned urban growth in Greater Noida.
