Greater Noida, December 20, 2025:
The Greater Noida Authority has intensified its enforcement drive against violators of Stage-IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP-IV), continuing strict action to curb air pollution across the region. On Friday, the Authority imposed penalties amounting to ₹78.25 lakh on 32 companies and individuals found violating GRAP-IV norms, including restrictions on construction activities and dust-control measures.

According to officials, the action is part of an ongoing campaign to ensure strict compliance with pollution-control regulations in the Greater Noida area, where GRAP-IV restrictions have led to a ban on construction activities and mandatory covering of construction materials. Despite clear directions, several builders, companies and individuals were found flouting the rules, prompting the Authority to take punitive action.
Among the major defaulters penalised are prominent builder projects and firms, including NBCC India, RJ Group, Arihant One, La Residentia, Amrapali Leisure Valley, DV Project, and KK Project. Other penalised entities include Gayatri Infratech, Apex Infrastructure, Mahagun, Signature Villa, Krishna Apartment, Mehta Construction, Y&M Design, Countryside Enterprise, GMS Export, Haridarshan Seva Shram, Akshat Garment, and several individual allottees across sectors, villages and industrial areas of Greater Noida.

The penalties imposed vary depending on the severity of violations. NBCC India in Sector-4 was fined ₹10 lakh, while RJ Group and Arihant One in Sector-1 were penalised ₹5 lakh each. Builder projects in Techzone-4, including La Residentia, Amrapali Leisure Valley, DV Project and KK Project, were also fined ₹5 lakh each. Several other companies and individuals were fined amounts ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹5 lakh for failing to comply with GRAP-IV norms.
Officials said the Authority’s work-circle teams are actively inspecting their respective areas and taking immediate action against those continuing construction activities despite the ban, failing to cover construction material, or neglecting regular water sprinkling to control dust. The penalties have been imposed with instructions to deposit the fine within the stipulated time period into the Authority’s account.

The Greater Noida Authority stated that the enforcement drive is being carried out under the directions of CEO N G Ravi Kumar, who has instructed all departments to ensure strict adherence to GRAP-IV guidelines. Under the leadership of Additional CEO Sumit Yadav, the project department teams are maintaining constant vigilance across the Authority’s jurisdiction to identify and penalise violators.
In addition to imposing fines, the Authority has also directed defaulters to immediately comply with pollution-control measures, including covering construction materials properly and carrying out regular water sprinkling to suppress dust emissions. Officials warned that continued violations would invite further and stricter action.

The Authority highlighted that similar action was taken a day earlier as well. On Thursday, penalties amounting to ₹49.45 lakh were imposed on 46 companies and individuals for violating GRAP-IV norms, underscoring the scale and continuity of the enforcement campaign.
Speaking on the matter, Additional CEO Sumit Yadav said the Authority is making every possible effort to control pollution in Greater Noida. He reiterated that violations of environmental norms will not be tolerated and appealed to residents, builders and industrial units to cooperate with the Authority in its efforts to improve air quality. He added that public cooperation is essential to effectively curb pollution and ensure compliance with GRAP-IV regulations.
The Greater Noida Authority has made it clear that the anti-pollution drive will continue in the coming days, with strict monitoring and enforcement actions aimed at safeguarding public health and improving air quality across the region.
