Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly received yet another death threat, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with a new ultimatum: apologize at a specific temple or pay ₹5 crore to ensure his safety. According to sources, the Mumbai Police received an anonymous WhatsApp message late last night addressed to their traffic control room, in which the sender, claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, threatened Salman Khan’s life if these demands were not met. The message stated, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologize or give ₹5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him, our gang is still active.”
This is the second death threat against Salman Khan within the span of a week. Just days earlier, on October 30, a similar threat was issued to Salman Khan through the Mumbai traffic control room, where a demand for ₹2 crore was made. That threat led to the arrest of Azam Mohammad Mustafa, a resident of Bandra East, following swift police action. Authorities are investigating whether these threats are connected or part of a broader intimidation tactic by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, known for issuing previous warnings to the actor.
The latest threat has put both Salman Khan’s team and the police on high alert, with security measures being reassessed to ensure his safety. Sources within the Mumbai Police confirmed that the origin and authenticity of the message are being closely examined as part of an active investigation. The law enforcement team is exploring all angles, including the involvement of the Bishnoi gang, which has allegedly targeted Salman Khan multiple times in recent years.
Historically, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s animosity towards Salman Khan stems from his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan, dating back to the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain. The gang, reportedly led by Bishnoi, who considers the blackbuck sacred to his community, has repeatedly issued threats to Salman Khan, demanding justice as per their beliefs. In recent years, the Bollywood actor’s security team has consistently coordinated with local law enforcement, especially during public appearances, as a precaution.
The police are also recalling the earlier incident from June when Gufran Khan, a 20-year-old tattoo artist from Noida, was arrested for allegedly issuing threats against Salman Khan and Bandra East MLA Zeeshan Siddique. Each threat has escalated concerns regarding the actor’s security, prompting increased vigilance and investigation by Mumbai’s police force.
As investigations continue, the police are actively pursuing leads, aiming to determine the credibility and origin of the messages and to prevent further escalation. Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s team is cooperating closely with authorities to address the situation and ensure the actor’s safety amidst these ongoing threats.
