Agriculture Department Gautam Buddh Nagar will organize a Farmer’s Day program on May 13, 2026, to address agricultural issues and spread awareness about modern farming technologies among farmers. The event will be held at 11 AM in the auditorium of Vikas Bhawan and is expected to witness participation from progressive farmers, agricultural experts, and officials from multiple departments.
Farmer’s Day is organized on the third Wednesday of every month near the district headquarters to provide a direct platform where farmers can discuss agriculture-related concerns, suggest improvements, and seek solutions from government officials and experts.
Deputy Director Agriculture Rajeev Kumar stated that the main objective of the program is to help farmers resolve their agricultural issues efficiently and improve productivity through scientific farming methods. Farmers from across the district will have the opportunity to present problems related to irrigation, crop production, fertilizers, electricity, livestock, and other agriculture-related matters.
Officials from various departments will be present during the program to listen to the concerns of farmers and provide immediate guidance and support. The initiative is aimed at improving coordination between farmers and government departments while ensuring that farmers receive accurate and timely information.
A major focus of the Farmer’s Day event will be on educating farmers about modern agricultural technologies and advanced farming practices. Experts will provide information about innovative cultivation methods, scientific crop management, and techniques that can help increase productivity while reducing farming costs.
Farmers will also be made aware of the importance of balanced fertilizer usage based on Soil Health Card reports. Officials explained that the correct use of fertilizers according to soil conditions can significantly reduce cultivation expenses and improve crop quality and yield. Balanced fertilizer management also helps maintain long-term soil fertility and environmental sustainability.
The program will witness participation from several agriculture-related departments including irrigation, energy, horticulture, fisheries, dairy production, animal husbandry, and cooperative departments. Representatives from these departments will share information regarding government schemes, subsidies, and support programs available for farmers.
Scientists from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra will also attend the event and guide farmers about modern farming technologies, improved seeds, weather-based crop planning, and advanced agricultural equipment. Their participation is expected to help farmers adopt more scientific and efficient farming methods.
Apart from agriculture experts, leading bank managers and insurance company representatives will also participate in the event. Bank officials will provide information about agricultural loans, Kisan Credit Cards, and other financial assistance schemes for farmers. Insurance company representatives will educate farmers about crop insurance schemes and the benefits of protecting crops against natural risks.
The agriculture department believes that Farmer’s Day programs play an important role in strengthening communication between farmers and government authorities. Such events provide farmers with direct access to experts and officials, making it easier for them to seek solutions to their concerns and understand the latest developments in the agriculture sector.
The program will also focus on promoting sustainable farming, water conservation, efficient fertilizer use, and scientific agricultural practices. Officials believe that awareness about modern techniques can help farmers improve productivity and income while reducing operational challenges.
Subject Matter Specialist Rajkishore, working at the office of the Deputy Director Agriculture, has appealed to farmers to participate in large numbers and take advantage of the guidance and support available during the event. Farmers seeking additional information regarding the program can contact him on mobile number 8448211463.
The Farmer’s Day event scheduled on May 13 is being viewed as an important initiative for supporting the farming community in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Through expert guidance, awareness programs, and direct interaction with officials, the event is expected to help farmers improve agricultural productivity and gain better access to government support systems.
