The Greater Noida Authority, in coordination with the police and district administration, conducted a major encroachment removal drive in Amarpur village on Saturday to reclaim government land from illegal occupation.

Encroachment Removed from 5,000 Square Metres Area
The Authority had received information that certain local villagers were attempting to illegally occupy government land in Amarpur. The disputed land had also become a point of conflict between two groups within the village, raising concerns over law and order.
Acting on the directions of Greater Noida Authority CEO N G Ravi Kumar and District Magistrate Medha Roopam, a joint operation was carried out under the supervision of Work Circle-8 in-charge Nagendra Singh. The operation involved ACP Arvind Kumar Chahal, SHO Arvind Kumar, the local outpost in-charge, district administration officials, along with police and PAC personnel.
The encroachment removal drive was carried out peacefully with strong police presence at the site. During the operation, approximately 5,000 square metres of government land were successfully freed from illegal occupation.

Estimated Value Around ₹10 Crore
The reclaimed land is estimated to be worth nearly ₹10 crore. The Greater Noida Authority stated that the land will now be taken under its official possession and secured with barbed wire fencing to prevent any future attempts of illegal encroachment.
Officials noted that the land is of strategic importance for planned development and public use. Adequate measures will be taken to safeguard it and integrate it into future development plans.
Authority Issues Warning and Appeal
Greater Noida Authority ACEO Sumit Yadav stated that encroaching upon government land in a notified area is a serious violation of law. He affirmed that the Authority, in coordination with the police and district administration, will continue to take strict action to reclaim such lands.
He further warned that any construction undertaken in notified areas without due permission or without approved building plans will invite strict action. Violators of planning norms will not be spared under any circumstances.
Appealing to citizens, the ACEO advised them not to fall prey to unauthorised colonisers and risk their hard-earned money. He urged people to verify all land-related details with the Authority’s land records department before purchasing any property in Greater Noida.
The Greater Noida Authority reiterated its commitment to planned urban development, protection of public land, and safeguarding public interest, adding that similar drives against encroachment and unauthorised construction will continue in the future.
