Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 12, 2026: In an effort to ensure industrial peace and support workers across the district, the District Magistrate has issued an appeal to all workers while announcing the establishment of a dedicated control room for their assistance. The move comes after a series of meetings held over the past two to three days with industrial units, during which several important decisions were taken to safeguard workers’ interests and maintain harmony in industrial operations.
The District Magistrate stated that all decisions taken in recent meetings will be strictly implemented across all industrial units in the district. These measures are aimed at protecting workers’ rights and ensuring fair and transparent workplace practices.
Key Benefits for Workers to Be Strictly Implemented
According to the directives, overtime work will be compensated at double rates without any deductions. Every worker will be entitled to a weekly holiday, and if work is assigned on Sundays, wages will be paid at double rates. These provisions are intended to ensure fair compensation and prevent exploitation of workers.
In addition, all workers will receive bonus payments as per rules, which must be credited directly into their bank accounts by November 30. The administration has also made it mandatory for every factory to constitute a committee to prevent sexual harassment at the workplace, with a woman appointed as the chairperson.
To strengthen grievance redressal, complaint boxes will be installed in all factories, allowing workers to report issues easily. Employers have been directed to ensure respectful behavior towards workers and maintain a positive work environment.
Furthermore, wages must be paid in full to workers by the 10th of every month, and salary slips must be provided without exception. These measures aim to enhance transparency and build trust between workers and management.
Control Room Established for Worker Assistance
To provide immediate support and address concerns of workers, the district administration has set up a control room. Workers can report any problem, complaint, or information through the following helpline numbers:
120-2978231
120-2978232
120-2978862
120-2978702
The control room will function as a centralized platform for resolving grievances and ensuring that workers receive timely assistance from the administration.
Appeal for Peace and Cooperation
The District Magistrate has appealed to all workers to maintain peace and discipline while continuing their duties at their respective workplaces. Workers have been advised not to pay attention to rumors or misleading information and to rely only on official communication.
The administration has emphasized that cooperation from workers is essential to maintain law and order and ensure smooth functioning of industrial activities in the district. Workers have been urged to support the administration in maintaining a harmonious and stable environment.
The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to balancing worker welfare with industrial stability, ensuring that all stakeholders work together for sustained growth and peace in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
