Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta emphasised the importance of value-based, creative, and purpose-driven education while attending the Annual Day celebration of Gyaananda School, titled “SRIJAN – Evoking Your Ikigai,” held at the Yashobhoomi International Convention Centre, Dwarka. Serving as the chief guest, Gupta highlighted how schools play a crucial role in shaping responsible, confident, and creative citizens.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta stated that education is the soul of any nation and the cornerstone of a strong democracy. He observed that school education goes beyond academic instruction, shaping character, instilling values, and fostering a sense of national responsibility among students. He lauded institutions like Gyaananda School for contributing meaningfully to nation-building by nurturing well-rounded individuals capable of positive societal impact.
Praising the students’ performances during the event, Gupta remarked that their discipline, enthusiasm, and self-assurance reflected the promise of India’s future. Gupta highlighted India’s progress in the Amrit Kaal, noting the country’s steady march toward self-reliance, innovation, and global leadership. He emphasised that today’s students will become tomorrow’s leaders, policymakers, and nation-builders, urging them to imbibe values of discipline, honesty, and sensitivity, which he called the foundation of a strong and inclusive India.
The Speaker also underlined the vital role of educational institutions in nurturing balanced individuals.
