Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta attended the grand Panchkalyanak Pratishtha Mahotsav of the first Tirthankar, Lord Rishabhdev, at Jain Tirth Viroday, Nirman Vihar, as the chief guest. The event aimed to propagate the timeless values of Jainism, emphasizing duty, hard work, and non-violence.
In his address, Speaker Gupta said the festival is not just a religious experience but a path to spiritual peace and social harmony. He stated, “Lord Adinath (Rishabhdev) imparted the first lessons of civilization, labor, and duty. Through this festival, we can revive these values and integrate them into our daily lives.”
The event was held under the guidance of the revered saint and great yogi, Upadhyay Shri (Dr.) Guptisagar Ji. The Speaker highlighted that the guru’s philosophy of ‘public empathy’ teaches that in politics or social service, the ultimate goal should be the welfare of the person at the last row of society.
He further emphasized that power and position are meaningful only when linked with service and compassion. The festival reminded citizens of the importance of maintaining love, affection, and harmony in society.
Speaker Gupta expressed gratitude to the organizing committee, noting that the Panchkalyanak Pratishtha Mahotsav Committee has elevated Delhi’s cultural and spiritual prestige. He also underlined the universal Jain principle of “live and let live” and urged citizens to embrace it in their lives.
The event saw participation from dignitaries and local citizens in rituals and ceremonies. Religious discourses, cultural performances, and spiritual sessions were conducted, with active engagement from children and youth.
At the conclusion of the event, the Speaker received blessings from the guru for the prosperity and welfare of Delhi’s citizens. He stated that such events help revive ethical, cultural, and spiritual values in society and inspire the younger generation to follow the right path in life.
