Greater Noida, December 30, 2025:
The upcoming flower exhibition being organised by the Greater Noida Authority from February 27 to March 1 is set to become a larger and more inclusive event, with central verges, green belts and roundabouts across the city also participating as competitors. In a unique initiative, these landscaped public spaces will be developed as themed floral displays and showcased as part of the exhibition, adding a new dimension to the annual event.
According to officials, the central verges, green belts and roundabouts will take part in the exhibition as formal participants. Special flower beds will be prepared at these locations to display the exhibition’s theme flower, calendula. The most aesthetically designed and well-maintained presentation among them will be selected for an award, encouraging creativity, quality landscaping and sustained upkeep of public green spaces.

The three-day flower show is being organised on the directions of Greater Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer N G Ravi Kumar. Preparations for the event are currently underway, with the Authority’s Horticulture Department working intensively to ensure smooth execution and high-quality participation across all categories. Officials said the objective this year is to make the exhibition broader in scale and more impactful than previous editions, both in terms of participation and visual appeal.
As part of the preparations, a review meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Greater Noida Authority Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Horticulture Department, during which detailed discussions were held on ensuring the participation of all adopted central verges, green belts and roundabouts. Clear instructions were issued to ensure timely preparation of flower beds and adherence to the exhibition’s theme.
Sandeep Chandra informed that a significant number of landscaped public spaces in Greater Noida have been developed under the adoption model. At present, a total of 29 central verges, 45 green belts and 41 roundabouts have been developed and maintained by different agencies and organisations through adoption. All these adopted sites have been asked to participate in the flower exhibition and prepare themed floral arrangements using calendula.

Officials said the participation of these sites is expected to enhance the visual experience of the exhibition while also highlighting the city’s landscaping efforts. By bringing central verges, green belts and roundabouts into the competitive framework, the Authority aims to showcase not just ornamental displays at the exhibition venue but also the overall greenery and aesthetic planning of Greater Noida.
The Greater Noida Authority has been consistently focusing on improving urban landscaping and green cover, and the flower exhibition is seen as an important platform to promote these efforts. The inclusion of adopted public spaces is also intended to encourage maintaining agencies to further improve quality standards and innovate in floral design.
The Horticulture Department has been instructed to closely coordinate with all participating agencies to ensure uniformity in theme presentation and timely completion of preparations. Officials said regular monitoring will be carried out in the coming weeks to assess progress at the identified locations.
The meeting was attended by DGM Horticulture S K Jain, Deputy Director Natholi Singh, Senior Manager Ajit Bhai Patel, Rakesh Babu, Ram Kumar, Assistant Director Buddh Vilas, Manager Prashant Samadhiya and Mithlesh Kumar, among others. Each official was assigned specific responsibilities to ensure effective coordination and execution of the plan.
With expanded participation and a strong focus on public green spaces, the Greater Noida Authority hopes that this year’s flower exhibition will attract greater public interest and set a new benchmark in terms of scale and presentation. The exhibition is expected to draw visitors from across the region and further reinforce Greater Noida’s image as a well-planned and green urban centre.
