Dar es Salaam(Tanzania), 7 September : World-renowned Singer Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota visited the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, today.
Binaya S Pradhan, High Commissioner of India to Tanzania in SVCC
“The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) Dar es Salaam of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) under the aegis of the High Commission of India was established in 2010. Yoga, Hindustani Vocal and Tabla classes are taught at the premises by our team of distinguished Teachers. The enrolment to these classes is very encouraging. It’s a matter of pride that Tanzanian and Indian students learn with great interest. Students from the Indian Diaspora are reminded about the rich legacy of Indian culture. It’s a great opportunity not only to learn but also to collaborate with Tanzanian Culture and explore new possibilities of cultural exchanges and bonds of friendship between the two nations” said H.E. Binaya S Pradhan, High Commissioner of India to Tanzania while taking Anup Jalota on a tour of the SVCC, Dar es Salaam.

“I am in awe of the cultural diplomacy of the Indian High Commission and the brilliant work of SVCC. The fact that the Teachers from pedigreed, culturally rich Gharanas are imparting the knowledge augers well not only for the Centre but also for the rich Classical Music forms. It has been a pleasure to visit and interact with the culturally inclined people over here. I want to perform at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Dar es Salaam in the near future. I congratulate the Indian High Commissioner for the great strides in perpetuating Indian Culture and collaborating with Tanzania and cultures” remarked Anup Jalota.
