Pratapgarh, 07 Sept : A man was sentenced to life in prison by a court in this city for murdering his wife for dowry in 2018. District and Sessions Judge Abdul Shahid convicted and sentenced Suraj Kumar Prajapati for the murder of his wife Sanju.
Sanju’s father filed a lawsuit against Prajapati
Sanju died in April 2018, and her father filed a lawsuit against Prajapati, saying that he tortured and murdered her because his dowry demand was not satisfied. Following an investigation, police filed a charge sheet in the case. After hearing both sides, the judge found Prajapati guilty and sentenced him to life in prison, stated District Government Counsel Yogesh Kumar.
