3 labourers from Uttar Pradesh were arrested for attempting to enter the high-security Parliament complex using forged Aadhaar cards. The Delhi Police identified the accused as Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb.
The trio was intercepted by CISF personnel at the flap gate entry of Parliament House on Tuesday while standing in the security check queue. Upon presenting their Aadhaar cards, the CISF personnel found the documents suspicious and sent them for further scrutiny, which confirmed they were forged.
Investigations revealed that the men were hired by Dee Vee Projects Limited and were engaged in construction work for the MP’s lounge inside the Parliament complex.
Following the discovery, the CISF handed over the three accused to the Delhi Police. An FIR was registered against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 465 (forgery), Section 419 (cheating by personation), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), Section 471 (using as genuine a forged document), and Section 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating).
This incident occurred shortly after the CISF took over the entire security of the Parliament complex, replacing the CRPF and Delhi Police contingents.
