Islamabad, 20 Aug : At least 16 people were killed and 11 others injured as a passenger bus caught fire on Faislabad road, near the Pindi Bhattian area of Pakistan early morning on Sunday. The bus caught fire following a collision with a pick-up van that was carrying diesel drums.
The bus carrying about 40 passengers destined for Islamabad from Karachi hit the pick-up van coming from the opposite direction. The number of deaths may increase as most of the injured passengers are in critical condition Geo News has reported quoting local police.
The deceased include drivers of both ill-fated vehicles. People in the nearby area tried to pull out the passengers from the bus by breaking windows.
