YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, popularly known as Flying Beast, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latest.’ The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his YouTube channel Beer Biceps, asked an offensive question to a contestant during the show. The remark sparked widespread backlash, drawing criticism from several quarters, including fellow content creators.
During the latest episode of the show, Ranveer Allahbadia posed an inappropriate question to a contestant, asking, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” The statement shocked not only the audience but also Samay Raina himself, who immediately reacted with disbelief. Content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija, who were also present on the show, appeared visibly uncomfortable following the remark.
Following the backlash, Gaurav Taneja took to social media to express his discontent, stating, “Seems like Samay Raina won’t stop until he gets all of YouTube India canceled.” The reaction from Gaurav Taneja adds to the growing criticism against the show’s content and the perceived decline in responsible discourse among digital influencers.
In response to the outrage, Ranveer Allahbadia issued a public apology, acknowledging that his comments were inappropriate and unfunny. “My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m sorry,” he stated in a video apology released on Monday. However, the apology has not shielded him from further scrutiny, as discussions on responsible content creation continue to gain traction.
Amid the controversy, an FIR has been filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and the show ‘India’s Got Latest’ for allegedly using abusive language. Legal authorities are now involved in assessing the extent of the violations and potential repercussions for the accused individuals.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also addressed the issue, stating that while he had not personally viewed the clip, he had been informed about its vulgar content. He emphasized the importance of maintaining public decency and warned that legal action would be taken against those who cross the limits of acceptable discourse. “Everyone has freedom of speech, but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ rights,” Devendra Fadnavis stated, underscoring the government’s commitment to regulating content that violates ethical boundaries.
The incident has ignited a broader debate about the responsibilities of content creators in India’s growing digital landscape. With increasing scrutiny on online platforms, the controversy raises significant questions about the accountability of influencers and the role of regulatory oversight in maintaining ethical standards in entertainment content.
