Ayodhya witnessed a fervent address by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who emphasized the enduring significance of Sanatan Dharma while condemning historical acts of temple destruction. Speaking at an event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underlined the foundational role of Sanatan Dharma in fostering universal harmony and providing refuge during times of adversity. “Sanatan Dharma has always ensured the safety of humanity. If Sanatan is protected, all are protected,” he declared.
Drawing attention to historical injustices, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath raised questions about those who destroyed India’s revered religious landmarks. “Who were the people responsible for demolishing the sacred sites of Sanatan Dharma, and what was their motive? These barbaric acts were an attempt to turn the world into a living hell,” he stated. Referring to the desecration of iconic temples like Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura, and the sacred site of Kalki Avatara in Sambhal, he highlighted the systematic targeting of Hindu cultural and spiritual heritage over centuries.
In a striking anecdote, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath referenced the downfall of those associated with such acts. He remarked, “When I ask about the descendants of those who demolished temples, I am told that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s lineage today struggles to make ends meet. It is said that his family members now drive rickshaws near Kolkata. If they had not destroyed temples or harmed sacred institutions, their descendants might not have faced such dire circumstances.”
He stressed that the destruction of temples led not only to the decline of dynasties but also served as a moral lesson. “Defiling sacred spaces ensures the annihilation of entire bloodlines. Only Sanatan Dharma, with its principles of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’—the world is one family—can establish true global peace.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also highlighted the plight of Hindus in neighboring countries, pointing to the targeted atrocities in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. He contrasted this with Sanatan Dharma’s history of embracing diverse faiths during crises, lamenting the lack of reciprocity towards Hindus in these regions.
Concluding his speech, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated the necessity of respecting Sanatan Dharma to preserve human civilization. “If humanity is to survive, the honor of Sanatan must be upheld. Our sages, thousands of years ago, envisioned a world rooted in peace and coexistence. That vision remains relevant even today,” he affirmed, urging the global community to recognize the profound value of Sanatan principles in ensuring harmony and prosperity.
