Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for the implementation of permanent noise control measures for loudspeakers used at religious sites. Reviewing development projects and law enforcement in the state, he emphasized the need for strict regulations on sound levels to maintain public order and ensure compliance with noise pollution norms.
During a meeting at the Circuit House, Yogi Adityanath directed officials to enforce a complete ban on high-volume DJs during Holi celebrations. He stressed the importance of maintaining law and order during the festival and ensuring that festivities do not disrupt public peace. Security measures will be intensified to prevent any incidents during ‘Holika Dahan’ and Holi celebrations.
The chief minister also instructed officials to install CCTV cameras at key locations, including banks, financial institutions, shops, and other commercial establishments. This move aims to enhance surveillance and deter criminal activities across urban and rural areas.
In a firm stance against cattle smuggling, Yogi Adityanath ordered strict monitoring of such activities and warned of severe consequences for those involved, including smugglers, vehicle owners, and any police personnel found complicit. He instructed ADG Zone Piyush Mordia to conduct district-wise reviews to ensure the strict enforcement of the state’s complete ban on cattle smuggling.
Addressing ongoing development projects, the chief minister warned against unnecessary delays and directed officials to appoint nodal officers for each under-construction project. He ordered weekly inspections and regular progress reports to ensure timely completion while maintaining quality standards. In response to observed delays in some projects, he emphasized the need for accelerating work without compromising efficiency.
With summer approaching, Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of ensuring an uninterrupted water supply across the state. He also proposed beautifying flyover pillars with artistic paintings and high-quality advertisements to enhance the city’s aesthetics.
Furthering urban planning initiatives, the chief minister directed officials to create adequate vending zones to support street hawkers. He also emphasized the need for affordable meals, free drinking water, and proper seating arrangements for farmers at wheat procurement centers. According to the district magistrate, wheat procurement at a fixed rate of Rs 2,425 per quintal will commence on March 17 at 36 centers across the district.
In a move to support working women, Yogi Adityanath instructed the establishment of hostels and affordable canteens in the district. Additionally, he ordered officials to identify the top ten criminals from each police station to strengthen law enforcement efforts.
The chief minister reiterated his commitment to improving governance, ensuring public safety, and expediting infrastructure projects for the overall development of the state.
