People will not get relief from the incessant rains in Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert until August 27 regarding heavy rains with thunder and lightning in the state. In the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for today (Friday) and August 25 in all the districts of the state for intense rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. A yellow alert has been issued for Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital, and Champawat districts on August 26. Rainfall is expected to reduce in the state starting next week.
According to the bulletin issued by the State Disaster Management Centre on Friday morning, 170 other roads, including four national highway routes, are closed.
