Greater Noida | January 16, 2026 — Western Sydney University is set to launch its first campus in Greater Noida later this year, marking a significant milestone in the city’s emergence as an international education destination.
The upcoming campus will be located in Tower Two of the Greater Noida Authority complex, where the university has leased the 6th, 7th and 8th floors for its academic operations.
University Submits Performance Guarantee Documents
Representatives of Western Sydney University submitted performance guarantee documents to the Greater Noida Authority during a programme held at Max Tower, Sector 16B, Noida.
The university has taken the space on lease at an annual rent of ₹86 lakh. Officials indicated that preparations to establish the campus will begin shortly.
The initiative is expected to strengthen Greater Noida’s position as a global hub for education and innovation, aligning with the vision of the Uttar Pradesh government to attract international institutions to the state.
The Greater Noida Authority, under the leadership of CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar, has assured full support to facilitate the timely establishment of the campus.
Focus on Global Research and Innovation
University representatives said the campus will focus on global teaching, research and industry-linked studies in fields such as:
- Sustainability
- Water management
- Agriculture
- Artificial intelligence
- Business innovation
In the first phase, academic programmes will be offered in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Sustainable Water Futures and Agriculture.
In the second phase, additional courses related to innovation, entrepreneurship and supply chain management will be introduced.
Boost to Greater Noida’s Academic Ecosystem
Greater Noida Authority Additional CEO Saumya Srivastava said the opening of Western Sydney University’s campus demonstrates that Greater Noida has become a preferred destination for global education institutions.
He added that the presence of an international university will further strengthen the academic ecosystem and help prepare students according to industry requirements.
Officials believe the development will also contribute to positioning Greater Noida as a centre for technology, manufacturing and innovation, while enhancing opportunities for young professionals and researchers.
