In a heartfelt gesture towards his constituents, sitting BJP MP Varun Gandhi has penned an emotional letter to the people of the Pilibhit Lok Sabha constituency, promising to continue working for their welfare at any cost. This comes in the wake of Jitin Prasada filing his nomination papers for the Pilibhit seat, replacing Varun Gandhi.
Reflecting on his deep-rooted connection with the constituency, Varun Gandhi recounted his earliest memories of Pilibhit, recalling how the land and its people have become an integral part of his life’s journey. Emphasizing the profound impact Pilibhit has had on shaping him both as a Member of Parliament and as an individual, Varun expressed gratitude towards the constituency for nurturing him over the years.
Pilibhit has been a stronghold for the Gandhi family for decades, with either Maneka Gandhi or Varun Gandhi representing the constituency. While Maneka Gandhi has served as a Member of Parliament from Pilibhit six times, Varun Gandhi has held the position twice, in 2009 and 2019 respectively.
Despite the end of his term as MP, Varun Gandhi assured constituents that his bond with Pilibhit transcends political calculations, vowing to remain dedicated to their welfare as their “son.”
In his letter, Varun Gandhi further pledged to keep his doors open to the people of Pilibhit, reaffirming his lifelong dedication to serving their interests. He reiterated his steadfast commitment to championing the voices of the common people, emphasizing that his foray into politics was driven by a sincere desire to uplift and advocate for their concerns.
