A 27-year-old Mumbai-based chartered accountant and popular social media influencer, Aanvi Kamdar, tragically lost her life after falling into a gorge while filming a video in Maharashtra’s Raigad district.
Kamdar was on a monsoon outing with seven friends near the Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon when the accident occurred. According to reports from the police, she slipped and fell into a 300-foot-deep gorge during the filming of a video.
Local authorities and rescuers were immediately alerted by Kamdar’s companions. She was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital, where despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries.
Known for her presence on Instagram, Kamdar had amassed a significant following of over 250,000 people, primarily through her engaging reels and content.
The incident has sent shockwaves through her followers and the social media community, highlighting the risks associated with adventurous content creation and the importance of safety precautions during such activities.
Authorities are conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident as her friends and family mourn the untimely loss of Aanvi Kamdar.
