A horrifying incident has emerged from Andhra Pradesh’s Dr. BR Ambedkar Konaseema district, where a young college student was savagely assaulted by four attackers. The victim, identified as Rameshwarapa Jayasai Yuvaraju from Gudapalli village, was subjected to a brutal assault, which included one of the assailants biting his cheek and another smashing his head with a rock. The attackers even recorded the assault on their mobile phones, highlighting the malicious intent behind the act. Yuvaraju is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
The disturbing incident took place near the AFDT Junior College in Malkipuram, where both the victim and the attackers are students. The nearly four-minute video of the assault has surfaced online, showcasing the sheer brutality of the attack. The footage begins with Yuvaraju, dressed in a light pink shirt, arguing with two attackers before a third blindsides him with a dried coconut frond. As the violence escalates, stones are hurled at Yuvaraju, and he is dragged off the mud path by one of the attackers, a portly young man in a red t-shirt, who appears to lecture him before the assault intensifies.
The video captures the relentless assault as the attackers grab Yuvaraju’s neck, wrestle him to the ground, and tear his shirt collar. At one point, an attacker bites his cheek, leaving visible blood on his hand. The footage further shows Yuvaraju being stripped of his shirt, repeatedly kicked, and left kneeling with the torn shirt wrapped around his neck.
The attack reportedly stemmed from Yuvaraju’s role as a class monitor. Sources reveal he had previously filed a complaint against his attackers, which provoked them to target him in an act of revenge. The assailants allegedly lured him to a deserted spot under the pretext of taking him to college, where they proceeded to beat him for over two hours.
Despite the threats made by his attackers, Yuvaraju eventually disclosed the incident. A formal complaint has been filed with the local police, and a case has been registered. Following the incident, all four attackers have been suspended from the college.
The shocking video has sparked outrage, with calls for strict action against the perpetrators. Authorities are investigating the case, and the incident has reignited discussions about campus safety and the accountability of educational institutions in protecting their students.
