Actor Shilpa Shetty’s lawyer has dismissed media reports claiming that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had conducted a raid at her residence, calling the reports “misleading” and categorically stating that the actress has “nothing to do with any offence.” The reports, which began circulating on social media, suggested that ED officials had raided the house of Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, prompting her legal team to clarify the situation.
In a formal statement issued by her lawyer, advocate Prashant Patil, it was emphasized that the claims of an ED raid on Shetty’s property were false. “There have been reports in the media saying that my client Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra has been raided by the Enforcement Directorate. These reports are not true and are misleading. As per my instructions, there is no Enforcement Directorate raid on Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with any offence of whatsoever nature,” Patil said.
The lawyer also explained that the ongoing investigation was related to Raj Kundra, and Shilpa Shetty had no involvement in the matter. “The case in question is an ongoing investigation regarding Mr. Raj Kundra, and he is cooperating with the authorities for the truth to come out,” Patil added.
In addition to refuting the allegations, Patil made a strong appeal to the media to stop using Shilpa Shetty’s name and images in connection with the investigation. “I would request the electronic and print media to refrain from using the videos, pictures, and name of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with the case. Strict cognizance shall be taken against irresponsible journalism wherein the pictures or videos of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra are shared on this matter,” the lawyer warned.
The actor and her husband, a businessman, have faced significant media scrutiny in recent years, particularly regarding Raj Kundra’s alleged involvement in a pornography case. Shilpa Shetty, however, has maintained a distance from the controversy, with her legal representatives reiterating her lack of involvement in any unlawful activities.
The recent reports have sparked concern regarding the accuracy of information being shared by the media, and Shilpa Shetty’s legal team is determined to hold those responsible for spreading misinformation accountable.
