New Delhi [India], October 21 (ANI): With the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in sight, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to start a minority outreach programme–Alpsankhyak Sneh Samvad– across the 543 constituencies at year-end, the party said on Saturday.

BJP Minority Morcha national president Jamal Siddiqui told ANI that the month-long mass contact campaign will kick off in December from Chandni Chowk, Delhi.

“The Alpasankhyak Sneh Samvad will be inaugurated by the party’s national president JP Nadda in Delhi. During the programme, efforts will be made to approach the minorities of all religions, whether Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, and others. Intellectuals and influencers will be included and around 2,000 people will participate in the Samvad starting from Chandni Chowk in Delhi,” Jamal Siddiqui said.

He said that celebrated people like Padma Shri awardee Shah Rashid Ahmed Qadri will be prominent faces of the programme, targeted at minorities.

“Apart from Padma Shri awardees, ‘Modi Mitras’, hailing from different walks of life including doctors, engineers, students etc., will probably participate in this program,” Siddiqui said, adding that there are 5,000 Modi Mitras in each Lok Sabha constituency.

Siddiqui further said that the Samvad will kick off in December once the dust settles for the Assembly elections in five states, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram, scheduled next month.

“This program will be started in the month of December immediately after the Assembly elections in five states, which will be conducted in 543 Lok Sabha seats across the country for one month. After running for a month, probably in the month of January, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hold a meeting at the national level. Through this, Modi Mitras, and women beneficiaries of Centre’s welfare schemes from the minority communities will be contacted,” Siddiqui said. “However, the date of the PM’s meeting has not been announced yet,” he added.
