New Delhi. In the IPL 2024, during the 11th match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday (March 29), Andre Russell will be in action for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The match is set to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Since joining KKR in 2014, Russell has hit 197 sixes in 106 IPL matches. The 35-year-old right-handed batsman is currently in outstanding form.

If the veteran all-rounder manages to hit at least three sixes, he will become the first cricketer in the world to hit 200 sixes for a team owned by Shah Rukh Khan in the IPL. He announced his arrival in IPL 2024 by smashing seven sixes during his innings of 64 runs off 25 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday (March 23).

He is just two steps away from reaching the milestone of 100 wickets in the IPL. If Russell manages to dismiss three batsmen, he will become the second KKR bowler to take 100 wickets in the IPL after Sunil Narine.
