The blockbuster film Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, continues its roaring success at the box office. On its 13th day of release, the action-packed entertainer shattered more records, amassing ₹953.3 crore domestically and an astounding ₹1,336.2 crore globally. The film, which recovered its budget within the first five days, is now printing money with record-breaking collections, setting new benchmarks in Indian cinema.
Released on December 5, Pushpa 2 has enjoyed an uninterrupted run at the box office, partly because no major films have released since. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned ₹24.25 crore across all languages on its 13th day alone, with ₹18.5 crore coming from the Hindi version, surpassing the 13th-day collections of all-time blockbusters like Baahubali 2, Jawan, Gadar 2, Animal, and Stree 2.
Previously, the 13th-day record was held by Baahubali 2 with ₹17.25 crore, followed by Jawan (₹12.9 crore), Stree 2 (₹11.75 crore), Gadar 2 (₹10 crore), and Animal (₹9.75 crore). With Pushpa 2 breaking these records, the film is now targeting Baahubali 2’s lifetime collection, currently the highest-grossing Indian film. The gap between the two stands at just ₹78 crore, and given the current pace of Pushpa 2, it’s only a matter of time before the record is toppled.
The film’s massive success can also be attributed to Allu Arjun’s magnetic screen presence and his growing fan base across India. With no significant competition in theaters, Pushpa 2 has dominated the box office, captivating audiences with its engaging storyline and high-octane action sequences.
The worldwide collections have cemented Pushpa 2 as one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema history, surpassing recent blockbusters like RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, and Kalki 2898 AD. Fans are eagerly anticipating the day when it dethrones Baahubali 2 to become India’s highest-grossing film of all time.
As the box office numbers climb, the film’s extraordinary success proves that Pushpa 2 is not just a movie but a phenomenon, redefining the benchmarks of Indian cinema.
