Sawai Madhopur, 8 September : Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reached Sawai Madhopur late on Thursday night on a private visit with her husband Robert Vadra. Here she is likely to stay at Hotel Sher Bagh for two-three days.
Special Security Arrangements in Place for Priyanka Gandhi’s Program in Niwai
It has been told that she will attend a program on September 10 at Niwai in Tonk district. Special security arrangements have been made in view of her visit. Additional jawans have been deployed in the surrounding area including the hotel premises. This year Priyanka has reached Ranthambore for the third time. Earlier she has also celebrated her birthday in Ranthambore with her family. Priyanka stayed in Ranthambore for four days during her Quit India tour.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will hold a meeting at Niwai in Tonk district on September 10. Before Priyanka’s meeting, Indira Rasoi Gramin will be launched at Vivekananda Model School in Jhilai village of Niwai. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, state president Govind Singh Dotasara and senior Congress leaders and ministers will be present in Niwai’s meeting. Rajasthan Congress has started preparations for Priyanka Gandhi’s visit. The leaders of Tonk, Jaipur and Dausa have been given the responsibility to mobilize the crowd in the meeting.
Indira Rasoi Yojana Gramin : Affordable Food for Villages
Chief Minister Gehlot had announced to make Indira Rasoi’s cheap food available in the villages as well. It will be run in the name of Indira Rasoi Yojana Gramin. In the election year, the scheme of eating food for eight rupees in towns and villages is being considered important for political gains.
