President Droupadi Murmu will begin her three-day Ayodhya visit with special prayers and participation in religious ceremonies at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
President Droupadi Murmu is set to begin her three day visit to Ayodhya where she will participate in a series of religious ceremonies at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The visit is being seen as a significant cultural and spiritual event with extensive preparations and security arrangements already in place across the city. Roads leading to the temple have been decorated with saffron flags and banners featuring images of the President Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The visit is expected to draw attention from across the country as it highlights the growing importance of Ayodhya as a major religious destination.

Religious rituals and temple ceremonies

During her visit President Murmu will take part in Vedic rituals scheduled to begin around 9 am at the temple complex. The ceremonies will be conducted by 51 Vedic scholars from southern India Kashi and Ayodhya under the guidance of priest Ganeshwar Shastri. As part of the programme the President will install the Shri Ram Yantra and Shri Ram Naam temple on the second floor of the complex. She is also scheduled to hoist a flag at a shrine located in the outer precinct known as the parkota. These rituals are considered spiritually significant and are expected to add to the sanctity of the temple.

Felicitation of temple construction workers

President Murmu will also felicitate nearly 400 workers who contributed to the construction of the Ram Temple. This gesture is seen as a recognition of the efforts of those who played a key role in building one of the most significant religious structures in modern India. The felicitation ceremony will highlight the contribution of workers whose efforts helped bring the long awaited project to completion.

Tight security and administrative arrangements

Authorities have made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the President’s visit. Her convoy is expected to arrive at the temple complex around 11 am and she will remain there for approximately four hours. Ayodhya’s Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover stated that detailed security planning has been carried out covering every aspect from the President’s arrival at the airport to her movement within the city. The administration has also ensured that general devotees will be able to visit the temple except during the time when the President is present. VIP darshan will remain closed on the day of the visit.

Large scale participation expected

The event is expected to witness participation from around 5,000 special guests including religious and social leaders. Arrangements for seating accommodation and transportation have been made to handle the large gathering. Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde said the administration is working to ensure that the event is conducted smoothly without any inconvenience to visitors or residents.

Possible changes in darshan system

Officials indicated that after the President’s programme the temple trust may consider opening access to additional shrines within the parkota area. Under the proposed system around 5,000 devotees per day may be allowed to visit these temples through a pass based entry system. This move could help improve crowd management and enhance the overall experience for pilgrims visiting the temple complex.

Significance of the visit

President Murmu’s visit is being regarded as a major national and religious occasion. It reflects the importance of the Ram Temple as a cultural and spiritual landmark in India. The visit is expected to strengthen Ayodhya’s position as a prominent pilgrimage destination and attract more devotees in the coming months.
