On February 8, 2026, police received information regarding alleged religious conversion activities in the Aichhar area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Beta-2. Taking the input seriously, a local police team immediately reached the location and initiated an on-ground inquiry into the matter.
During the investigation, police found that a taxi driver named Suresh, along with his wife, his sister-in-law, and a local resident of Aichhar named Chand Karan, had gathered several women at one place. They were reportedly providing information related to Christianity to those present.
Police officials conducted inquiries at the site, interacted with the individuals involved, and assessed the situation to ascertain the nature of the activity. Based on preliminary findings, the police concluded that the gathering raised concerns warranting legal examination.
Further investigation revealed that such activities were allegedly being conducted repeatedly, which led local residents to inform the police. Taking note of all circumstances and available evidence, Police Station Beta-2 registered a case under relevant legal provisions.
Two individuals were arrested in connection with the case. The arrested accused have been identified as Suresh, son of Shankar Lal, a resident of Banswara district in Rajasthan, currently residing at C-28, Sigma-2, Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Chand Kiran, son of Gajesingh Prajapati, a resident of Aichhar, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Police stated that both accused are being sent to judicial custody. Authorities are also examining the role of other individuals present at the location to determine whether further legal action is required.
Officials emphasized that the investigation is being carried out strictly in accordance with the law. All aspects of the case are under detailed scrutiny to ensure that no unlawful activity goes unchecked.
The police further stated that maintaining law and order, communal harmony, and public peace in the area remains a top priority. Any activity found to be in violation of legal provisions will be dealt with firmly.
