Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently emphasized the significant progress made by his government in ensuring inclusive development, which has particularly benefited the poor and marginalized over the past 11 years. In a social media post, he highlighted how these efforts have translated into transformative outcomes, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering every section of society. Alongside this, the Prime Minister chaired a crucial Cabinet meeting where key achievements across ministries were reviewed, with a special focus on Operation Sindoor — India’s decisive military response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Government’s Focus on Inclusive Development
In his post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi responded to a message by MyGovIndia that celebrated the government’s achievements in inclusive growth. PM Modi wrote, “Our Government’s efforts towards all-round development have led to transformative outcomes and benefitted the poor and marginalised.” The MyGovIndia message echoed this sentiment, stating, “A growth that includes everyone! In 11 years, PM Narendra PM Modi has turned inclusive development into reality, ensuring no one is left behind. Only empowerment, not promises. This is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas in action.”
This statement underscores the government’s priority of equitable progress, aiming to uplift the most vulnerable while fostering national development. The approach is built on empowering citizens through concrete actions rather than mere rhetoric.
Operation Sindoor and Defence Achievements Reviewed
On the security front, PM Modi convened the Union Council of Ministers meeting — the first since Operation Sindoor was launched. Sources confirmed that a detailed presentation on Operation Sindoor was made, highlighting the Indian armed forces’ performance during this crucial military operation.
Operation Sindoor was initiated as a firm military retaliation following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. The Indian military targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, reportedly neutralizing over 100 terrorists. Furthermore, India successfully countered subsequent Pakistani aggression by striking airbases.
During the meeting, PM Modi emphasized the government’s focus on indigenisation of defense systems and urged ministers to maintain hard work to meet the government’s targets. The discussions also reflected on the importance of self-reliance in defense production and strategic preparedness.
The meeting came after Pakistan’s Director-General Military Operations (DGMO) called his Indian counterpart on May 10, leading to an agreement to halt further military actions.
This period marks a significant chapter in India’s commitment to safeguarding national security while continuing to prioritize inclusive growth for all citizens.
