As the assembly polls in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh draw near, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a day-long visit to these states. During his visit, he will inaugurate a multitude of development projects spanning various sectors critical to the states’ advancement, including roadways, railways, aviation, healthcare, higher education, gas pipelines, housing, and clean drinking water.
Expanding upon the details of this visit, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has revealed that the day’s agenda begins in Rajasthan around 11:15 AM. During this leg of the journey, PM Modi will unveil several development projects collectively valued at approximately Rs 5,000 crore. These projects encompass vital sectors such as transportation, healthcare, and education.
PM Modi to visit Rajasthan
In an effort to bolster the healthcare infrastructure in Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for two significant initiatives. These include a 350-bedded ‘Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block,’ with an investment of Rs. 350 crores, situated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jodhpur. Additionally, he will inaugurate seven Critical Care Blocks under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM). These blocks, to be distributed across Rajasthan, will play a pivotal role in enhancing critical care infrastructure at the district level, benefiting the state’s residents.
Focusing on the aviation sector, the Prime Minister will initiate the construction of a cutting-edge New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport, a project costing Rs 480 crore.
Next, in line with the commitment to strengthening higher education, Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate the state-of-the-art IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation, a project with an investment exceeding Rs 1,135 crore.
Furthermore, emphasizing the upgrade of infrastructure facilities at the Central University of Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will dedicate several projects to the nation, including the ‘central instrumentation laboratory,’ staff quarters, and a ‘yoga & sports sciences building,’ among others.
The Prime Minister’s visit also includes the improvement of road infrastructure, with the foundation stone laid for multiple road development projects, totaling about Rs 1,475 crore. These projects encompass the four-laning of the Karwar to Dangiyawas Section of Jodhpur Ring Road on NH-125A, the construction of seven Bypasses/Re-alignments of major town portions of Balotra to Sanderao section via Jalore (NH-325), and the four-laning of the Pachpadra-Bagundi section of NH-25.
Additionally, the visit brings two new train services to Rajasthan, including the Runicha Express connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi and a heritage train connecting Marwar Jn. to Khambli Ghat. These initiatives are expected to boost tourism and employment in the region. The Prime Minister will also dedicate two other rail projects: the doubling of the 145 km long ‘Degana-Rai Ka Bagh’ rail line and the 58 km long ‘Degana-Kuchaman City’ rail line.
PM Modi to visit Madhya Pradesh
Turning to Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi’s vision for ‘housing for all’ takes center stage with the inauguration of the Light House Project in Indore, a project worth approximately Rs 128 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban. This project will benefit over 1,000 beneficiary families and utilizes innovative technology to expedite construction while delivering quality homes with essential amenities.
In a significant step toward realizing the vision of providing safe and accessible drinking water through individual household tap connections, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for multiple Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts, collectively valued at over Rs 2,350 crores. He will also dedicate the Jal Jeevan Mission project in Seoni district, worth over Rs 100 crore, to the nation. These projects across four districts of Madhya Pradesh will benefit approximately 1,575 villages.
The Prime Minister’s visit to Madhya Pradesh further includes the dedication of multiple road infrastructure projects, totaling more than Rs 4,800 crore. These projects involve the upgradation of roads connecting various areas, including Jharkheda-Berasia-Dholkhedi of NH 346, the four-laning of the Balaghat-Gondia Section of NH 543, the four-laning of Khandwa Bypass connecting Rudhi and Deshgaon, the four-laning of the Temagaon to Chicholi section of NH 47, the four-laning of the road connecting Boregaon to Shahpur, and the four-laning of the road connecting Shahpur to Muktainagar. Additionally, the upgradation of the road connecting Khalghat to Sarwardewla of NH 347C will also be dedicated to the nation.
With the aim of enhancing rail infrastructure in the state, the Prime Minister will also dedicate rail projects worth over Rs 1,850 crore to the nation. These projects include the doubling of the rail line connecting Katni to Vijaysota (102 KMs) and Marwasgram to Singrauli (78.50 KMs).
Lastly, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Vijaipur-Auraiyan-Phulpur Pipeline Project, a 352 KMs long pipeline constructed at a cost of more than Rs 1,750 crore. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for the Nagpur-Jabalpur section (317 KMs) of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline Project, a project valued at over Rs 1,100 crore.
