During his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp critique of opposition parties, accusing them of prioritizing family interests over national progress. Speaking at an event where he laid the foundation for 44 projects worth Rs 3,880 crore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that his government’s focus has consistently been on inclusive development, contrasting it with what he called the self-serving politics of his rivals.

“Our mantra has always been ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and we are moving ahead with this spirit to ensure progress reaches every citizen,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the gathering. He added that unlike the current government, opposition parties spend their time playing political games, driven by the goal of furthering their own family’s growth and influence.

“Those who play games day and night only to grab power, their principle is ‘parivar ka saath, parivar ka vikas’ (family support, family development),” he remarked pointedly, taking aim at dynastic politics.

Infrastructure Push in Varanasi

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled several initiatives aimed at improving rural and urban infrastructure. These include 130 drinking water projects to enhance access to clean water, 100 new anganwadi centres to support maternal and child welfare, and the establishment of 356 libraries. Additionally, a polytechnic college in Pindra and a government degree college in Varanasi were inaugurated to boost education in the region.

Security and Connectivity Projects

To strengthen law enforcement infrastructure, the prime minister also inaugurated a transit hostel at the police lines, new police barracks in Ramnagar, and four newly built rural roads to improve connectivity. These efforts, he said, are part of his government’s broader commitment to uplift every section of society.

The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi in underscoring the importance of these developmental efforts.

By drawing a stark contrast between the Centre’s governance philosophy and the alleged dynastic motives of opposition parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the tone for what appeared to be both a developmental pitch and a political message to voters ahead of the elections.
