Bengaluru, 26 August: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a rousing reception when he landed at the HAL airport here early in the morning today. The Prime Minister reached the city from South Africa and Greece tour only to congratulate the scientists involved in the Chandrayan 3 mission.
Soon after his arrival, the Prime Minister addressed a public gathering outside the HAL airport congratulating the scientific community. He also added Jai Vigyan to the good old slogan, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan coined by the late prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Interestingly, the PM’s short meeting turned out to be apolitical with people sporting only national flags and devoid of any political party ones. The Prime Minister also spoke beyond any political considerations exhorting the Chandrayan 3 team. He was happy at the huge turnout including children early in the morning.
The Prime Minister later left for the ISRO premises at Peenya.
