Gurugram, 12 September (HS): Monu Manesar was detained on Tuesday in connection with the Nasir-Junaid mob lynching incident in Bhiwani, Haryana. The CIA staff of Nuh caught him in the market of village Manesar. A case was also registered against Monu Manesar in Haryana in February 2023.
Monu Manesar, who was caught by the CIA staff, is accused of being involved in the Nasir-Junaid murder case in Bhiwani, Rajasthan. Rajasthan Police was calling Monu Manesar for a long time regarding this. He had avoided going there for the last 8 months. Police also gave notices to Monu Manesar several times, but he did not go to the Rajasthan Police.
Nuh police had registered a case against him under the IT Act on July 28, but this case could not be made public. On Tuesday, Nuh police detained Monu Manesar when he had gone to attend a panchayat in Manesar itself. After taking Monu into custody, the local police informed the Rajasthan Police. After Monu Manesar was detained, a panchayat was called in his support at Bhishma Temple in Nuh. The police have received input that the crowd gathering for the Panchayat may get angry and attack the police station and try to get Monu Manesar released.
Rajasthan Police was searching in this case also.
Two burnt bodies were found in a Bolero vehicle on February 16, 2023, in Bhiwani, Haryana. Investigation revealed that these bodies were of Junaid and Nasir of Gopalgarh, Rajasthan. The name of Monu Manesar, alias Mohit Yadav, also came up in these murders. After this, there were reports of a case being registered under various sections against Monu Manesar and other people in the Bharatpur police station of Rajasthan. Police have also released photographs of eight absconding accused in this case.
