A key meeting was conducted to strengthen sanitation efforts in Noida, focusing on improving public health services and preparing for upcoming cleanliness benchmarks. Contractors engaged in sanitation work across sectors and villages were instructed to enhance efficiency and ensure timely execution of tasks. The review emphasized that cleanliness is not a routine activity but a continuous and structured effort requiring proper planning and accountability.

Priority on Drain Cleaning Before Monsoon

A major focus of the meeting was on the cleaning of drainage systems across the city. Instructions were issued to form dedicated teams and carry out large-scale cleaning drives before the monsoon season to prevent waterlogging. It was observed that grass and vegetation growing along drains often remain uncleared, obstructing water flow. Contractors were directed to remove these obstructions along with routine cleaning to ensure effective drainage.

Regular Cleaning of Roads and Public Spaces

Contractors were instructed to maintain strict schedules for cleaning roads and public areas. Daily sweeping and proper waste collection were emphasized to keep the city clean and organized. It was also noted that KC drains along footpaths often get filled with debris and waste, impacting both cleanliness and water flow. Regular cleaning of these drains was made mandatory to address the issue effectively.

Strengthening Monitoring and Accountability

To maintain quality standards, contractors were directed to conduct regular on-site inspections of their assigned areas. This measure aims to ensure that sanitation work is executed efficiently and is visibly effective on the ground. Enhanced monitoring is expected to improve accountability and transparency in operations.

Discipline and Uniform Compliance

Sanitation workers were instructed to wear proper uniforms while performing their duties. This step is intended to bring discipline and uniformity to the workforce, making operations more organized and professional. It also helps in easy identification and builds public confidence in sanitation services.

Boost to Cleanliness Survey Preparation

With cleanliness rankings in focus, efforts are being intensified to improve overall sanitation standards. The objective is not only to perform well in evaluations but also to create a healthier and cleaner urban environment. Systematic execution of these initiatives is expected to deliver sustainable results in the long term.

The directives issued during this meeting reflect a comprehensive approach toward improving sanitation infrastructure in Noida. With clear responsibilities, regular monitoring, and timely action, the city is moving toward achieving higher standards of cleanliness and public health.
